Customize Hotspots

Custom Hotspots
This area lists the hotspots in the current profile, including the actual trigger text of each hotspot, its assigned action or function, whether it is case sensitive and whether it is delimited by spaces. The Add..., Remove and Edit... buttons are used to modify hotspot definitions.

Add... Button
This button provides the ability to add a hotspot to the current profile through the Hotspots Properties dialog box.

Remove Button
This button removes the selected hotspot from the current hotspot profile.

Edit... Button
The Edit button provides the ability to edit the properties of a hotspot through the Hotspots Properties dialog box.

PF Key Hotspots
These selections provide the ability to automatically activate PF keys as hotspots. Select the format
used by your host to enable function key hotspots. The following formats are available: PFnn, FPnn, Fnn, nn, nn= where nn is a number 1 through 99.

URL Hotspots
Enable the Match URL option to allow screen text beginning with http://, https:// or ftp:// to be converted to a hotspot. When double-clicked a browser window will be started and will navigate to the specified web page. Text beginning with mailto: is also displayed as a hotspot with the text immediately following interpreted as an email address. When double-clicked a new email message will started using the default email program.

Save As
Allows you to save the current custom hotspots settings in a separate hotspots scheme file.

OK
Saves the current custom hotspots settings into the appropriate location. If Default or Custom is selected in Options>Hotspots then the settings will be saved to the session profile. If External File is selected in Options>Hotspots then the settings will be saved to the currently selected external hotpots scheme file.
