You can run macro scripts in PASSPORT to automate task sequences. PASSPORT allows you to assign a macro to a toolbar button, user-defined key combinations, keypad buttons, hotspots and mouse clicks, all of which provide quick access to often-used macros.
To run a macro
Use the Macro>Run menu command.
If you are using PASSPORT WEB TO HOST, select either System or Local for the Macro Type. For PASSPORT PC TO HOST all macros are local.
The Open dialog box will appear with the default location for macros. If you store macros in another folder, you will need to browse to that folder.
Double-click the macro file you want to run.
To stop a macro that is already running
Use the Macro>Stop menu command.
To assign a macro to a toolbar button
PASSPORT provides six toolbar buttons that will run the macros "User1.zmc," "User2.zmc," "User3.zmc" , "User4.zmc", "User5.zmc" and "User6.zmc". These icons are represented by >1, >2, >3, >4, >5 and >6 respectively.
Macros can also be assigned to other toolbar button icons and even custom button icons. For more information refer to the Options>Toolbar menu command and Customize Toolbar.
To assign a macro to a key combination on the keyboard
Refer to Changing the Keyboard Layout, Options>Keyboard menu command and Customize Keyboard Editor.
To assign a macro to keypad button (for PASSPORT PC TO HOST only)
Refer to Using the Keypad, the Options>Keypad menu command and Customize Keypad.
To assign a macro to a button on one of the button bars (for PASSPORT WEB TO HOST only)
Refer to Using the Button Bars and the Options>Button Bars menu command.
To assign a macro to a hotspot
Refer to Using Hotspots, the Options>Hotspots menu command and Customize Hotspots.
To assign a macro to a mouse click event
Refer to Using the Mouse, the Options>Mouse menu command.
